North Tyneside Council is offering free mental health training to local workers, covering a range of topics around mental health and suicide prevention.
North Tyneside Council is part of the Suicide Prevention Network, a coalition of organisations that aims to reduce suicide rates in the North East and North Cumbria. These virtual training sessions, delivered by Tyneside and Northumberland Mind, will contribute to this effort by supporting people to speak about mental wellbeing with confidence.
The courses take place throughout January, February and March, touching on themes such as mental health first aid and emotional resilience. They range in length from a couple of hours to two days.
